Project Description :
Seeking Sr. Systems Engineer to provide experience with design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems administration. This role supports the stability, performance, and security of enterprise and data center network infrastructure. Period of Performance: Until December 31, 2026, with possibility of extension. Place of Performance: On-site at Washington, DC campus locations of client.
Qualification Requirements :
Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting enterprise grade routers and switches in large data center environments. Required: Experience with design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. • Required: Experience with Ansible for configuration management, application deployment, and infrastructure orchestration. Including writing and distribution Ansible content through galaxy. • Required: Experience with Terraform for provisioning infrastructure and server automation. • Required: Experience administering and supporting Ansible Automation Platform (or AWX) for enterprise-wide use. • Highly Desired: Experience building and maintaining an Infrastructure-as-Code pipeline for server lifecycle management in bare-metal, virtual, and cloud environments. ** U.S. citizenship is a requirement.
Skills Requirements :
. • Ability to troubleshoot Linux system failures and restore systems to working condition. • Experience with Centrify and Kerberos for server authentication. • Experience with Splunk infrastructure administration (indexers, search-heads, forwarders) • Experience with AWS cloud technologies like Simple Storage Service (S3), and EC2. Candidate must have: • Highly Desired: Ability to work as a member of a team working on a variety of diverse projects • Creative problem solving skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to multi-task as workload demands • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation to maintain existing operations. Ability to Design, implement, and maintain internal and external network infrastructure supporting critical business applications. Ability to provide support day-to-day network operations and ongoing initiatives, including routing and switching troubleshooting, maintenance activities, and operational support. Ability to develop and implement new network designs and improvements to enhance performance, resiliency, and scalability. Demonstrated ability to plan and execute network upgrades in collaboration with internal teams. Ability to participate in cloud migration and hybrid network initiatives.
