Contract Performance Period : July 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026
Job Location : Washington, DC location(s) (Metro Access) On-Site 5 days/week.
Direct Hire : Term: through 31/12/2026, with a strong possibility of extension
Pay Range : Depending on Experience

Project Description :
We are seeking an Intermediate Scrum Master to provide dedicated Scrum Master services, facilitating an internal development team in adopting Agile best practices, removing blockers, and ensuring the successful delivery of an examiner workflow tool built on AWS cloud services. The tool will replace and enhance a legacy system.

The Scrum Master will serve as servant leader, focusing on facilitation, backlog hygiene, impediment removal, and coaching — working across the product owner team, development team, and management to ensure the team embraces an Agile mindset.

Location: Washington, DC (fully onsite, 5 days/week — no remote or hybrid)  |  Duration: Through end of 2026, with a strong possibility of extension
US Citizenship is Required

Qualification Requirements :
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computing Information Systems, Computer Science, or a relevant technical discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of experience leading projects or key business initiatives
  • Minimum 2 years of IT portfolio and customer relationship management experience
  • At least one active certification (or equivalent): PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), or CSM (Certified Scrum Master)


Skills Requirements :
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks: Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe
  • Proficiency with Agile techniques including User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, and Automated Testing
  • Ability to coach and engage product teams toward self-organization and continuous improvement
  • Experience working closely with Product Owners to scope and plan current and future work
  • Hands-on experience executing as a Scrum Master during an Agile transformation


Responsibilities :
  • Serve as servant leader for the Agile development team, facilitating ceremonies and removing impediments
  • Maintain backlog hygiene and support sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Coach product teams on the value of self-organization, continuous improvement, and Agile mindset adoption
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners to properly scope and plan current and future work
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of an examiner workflow tool on AWS
  • Bridge communication across the product owner team, development team, and management
