Senior Product Manager

Contract Performance Period : June 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026

Project Description :
Product Manager for Security Engineering — supporting a Security Engineering team within the IT department responsible for the strategy, design, deployment, and maintenance of effective security solutions in cloud, local, and hybrid environments.
Anticipated Period of Performance: 06/01/2026 – 12/31/2026 (with a strong possibility of extension)
Place of Performance: On-site, Washington, DC
US Citizenship required

Qualification Requirements :
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 4+ years focused on working with security engineering teams
  • Demonstrated federal experience and comprehensive knowledge in adopting and implementing federal cybersecurity requirements
  • Security Engineering mindset with Subject Matter Expertise and hands-on experience in a security domain
  • Deep analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting experience to independently resolve complex security challenges
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and collaborating closely with engineering and DevOps teams
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field, or equivalent software engineering experience


Skills Requirements :
  • Strong understanding of security concepts and technologies: Identity and Access Management (IAM), network security design, security operations, security architecture, cloud security, data loss protection, zero trust, DevSecOps, and vulnerability management
  • Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, managing backlogs, and delivering roadmaps
  • Demonstrated experience streamlining and automating business processes through technology solutions
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and processes
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex security concepts for various audiences
  • Track record of successful cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management


Responsibilities :

The candidate shall deliver, but not limited to:

  • Define, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog for security engineering initiatives including Cloud Security, Identity and Access Management, security tooling and automation, and high-level customer support
  • Gather and synthesize requirements from technical and non-technical stakeholders to inform strategy and prioritization decisions
  • Translate regulatory requirements, policy, and stakeholder needs into well-defined product/process requirements and user stories
  • Develop product roadmaps for security engineering automation tools and drive measurable improvements in efficiency and risk reduction
  • Manage and prioritize the team backlog, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategy
  • Manage stakeholder communication, alignment, and transparency about roadmap and outcomes
  • Measure outcomes and use feedback and data to inform continuous improvement of processes and services
  • Support enhanced understanding and availability of policy and process requirements across the organization
